My name is Nick Endle, and I started Endle Home Goods (formerly known as Nick's Wood Shop) in 2014.

Although I grew up in a family full of craftspeople, I was always more interested in technology and computers than woodworking. My grandpa was a carpenter, and my dad spent countless nights and weekends in the garage and grandpa's shop building crafts for my mom to sell at shows and her own retail shop in Fall Creek. I had great respect and admiration for what they were doing, and I spent lots of time helping - but I never had any ambition to be covered in sawdust all day working my hands to the bone like them.

That all changed in the summer of 2014 - with my dad's help I built a small workbench for my garage. I immediately fell in love with the process and couldn't believe how natural it felt. It was so fulfilling to make something with my hands, and it was a great opportunity to spend quality time with my old man.

From that moment I immersed myself completely and read books, magazines, and watched countless YouTube videos to learn as much as I could. I built small furniture pieces for my apartment with limited tools, and started turning my small one car garage into a workshop. During this time my grandpa closed down the shop he ran out of his garage for 62 years, and not only passed down to me his tools and project patterns - but an incredible amount of knowledge and wisdom as well.

In the fall of 2014 I decided to open my own online store, and since then I've been fortunate enough to have my products available at retail stores all over the midwest, connect with a lot of great people in my community, and create gifts for family members and friends. I love woodworking because of the joy (and challenge) that comes with making something by hand, as well as the infinite opportunities for artistic creativity with various wood species, colors, and grain.

If you're interested in working together on a project, or would like information on how to carry my products in your store, please get in touch.
